Applications are invited for the post of native-speaker-of-English lecturer
("foreign lecturer") within the general field of Applied Linguistics.

Applicants must be native speakers of English, and must hold an academic
degree in Applied Linguistics or a related field at Master's Degree level
or higher. Expertise in other fields relevant to the Department of English,
such as Phonetics, Syntax, Semantics and Pragmatics, History, Anglophone
Societies and Cultures, Media, Anglophone Literature, or Danish-English
translation would be an advantage. Ability to speak Danish is not a
requirement for this post.

This is a teaching post (maximum twelve hours per week during two 12-week
semesters, plus related examining and supervision work) with no
administrative responsibilities. Research work is not a requirement of the
post, but there will be time for the lecturer to pursue his or her own
research and it is hoped that s/he will participate in and contribute to
the research work of the Department.

The exact teaching programme allocated to the foreign lecturer will depend
in part on his/her precise interests, but adaptability will be necessary.
Teaching will be at both Bachelor's and Master's degree levels. Courses to
be taught will include theoretical courses in Second Language Acquisition,
Second Language Teaching, or some other aspect of Applied Linguistics, as
well as Introduction to Academic Research Methods, and Written and Spoken
Communication in English.

The appointment is for one year in the first instance and is renewable by
mutual agreement for a total of up to six years.

The salary will be approximately DKK 24,942.17 per month. No pension rights
