EALing VII - Fall School in Linguistics 2009 

The Department of Cognitive Studies at the Paris Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS)
organizes its seventh international Fall School in Linguistics (on the 'summer
school' model). The goal of this interdisciplinary Fall school is to provide
exposure to linguistic theory, and to grammar based approaches to cognitive
studies. Its content varies from year to year, but typically includes: 

-General non technical introductions to contemporary linguistic research
-Intensive introductory courses to some core areas of linguistic theory or
relevant domains
-Seminars and talks on current research
-Interaction between research in grammar and some related domains e.g. 
Psycholinguistics of Acquisition or of processing, Neurolinguistics,
Experimental Pragmatics, Philosophy of Language/Mind etc... 

A poster session in which school participants can present their work will be
organized. A call for abstracts detailing submissions guidelines will be issued
shortly.

This Fall school will be held at the Ecole Normale Superieure (45 rue d'Ulm,
75005 Paris: from Monday, September 14th to Tuesday September the 22nd included.

Call for Posters

Ealing Poster Session

In addition to its schedule of courses and lectures, Ealing organizes a poster
session for its participants to get a chance to present their own work.

Abstracts in Morphology, Formal Pragmatics, Phonetics, Phonology, Semantics,
Syntax, their interaction or the Computational or Psycho or Neurolinguistics of
these areas are invited for participation in the Ealing Poster Session.

Instructions for Abstract Submission

Abstract submission must be done electronically on the following site:
http://ealing.cognition.ens.fr/pasha 

All submissions must be in the PDF file format.

Abstracts must be at most one page long on a letter-size (8.5x11) or A4
sheet with one-inch or 2.5 cm margins and typed in at least 11-point font. 
An optional second page is permitted for data and references.
At the top of each page, please include: 

(1) The abstract title and 
(2) One or two keywords chosen among these: Morphosyntax, Formal Pragmatics,
Formal Semantics, Syntax, Psycholinguistics or Neurolinguistics describing the
topics of the paper. 

Deadline for Submission: Abstracts must be received by July 17th, 2009,
midnight, Paris, France time.

Notification of Acceptance will be sent by email by the 31st of July 2009.

Abstracts will be reviewed anonymously, please make sure that the authors are
not identified on any abstract page. A selection of abstracts will be chosen by
the selection committee. Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint
abstract per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author.

To present a poster in this session, individuals will have to be registered for
Ealing. Attendance to the poster session is open to all.
