The 14th Sinn und Bedeutung conference takes place September 28-30, 2009, at the
department of linguistics in Vienna. 

2nd Call for Papers

Abstracts devoted to natural language semantics, the syntax-semantics interface,
pragmatics, psycholinguistic aspects of meaning, and philosophy of language can
now be submitted for review. 34 Papers will be selected for presentation at Sinn
und Bedeutung 14 in Vienna. The time slot for each paper is 45 minutes,
discussion included.

Abstracts should contain original research that, at the time of submission, has
neither been published nor accepted for publication.

Each person can submit at most one abstract as sole author and one abstract as
co-author.

Abstracts must not exceed 2 pages including all data and references and have to
be written in 12pt font with 2.5 cm (1 inch) margins. Submissions also have to
be anonymous and in PDF format.

Abstracts can be submitted via EasyChair. The link to the submission site can be
found on the conference homepage: http://www.univie.ac.at/sub14
In exceptional cases we will accept abstracts sent by mail to the department of
linguistics. Electronic submissions are preferred.

The submission deadline is April 15, 2009

Call for Papers

Este coloquio sobre Diálogo y diálogos se centra especialmente en problemas
teóricos relacionados con la investigación de los diferentes aspectos del
diálogo, así como también en los tipos de encuentros verbales en los que el
diálogo constituye la forma de comunicación específica entre los participantes. 

La convocatoria alcanza a todos aquellos colegas que muestren resultados de
investigaciones concluidas o en curso o revisiones críticas de marcos de
análisis o métodos de investigación utilizados en el análisis del diálogo desde
vertientes teóricas diferentes. 

Idiomas Oficiales: español, portugués e inglés.

This colloquium about Dialogue and Dialogues focuses specifically on theoretical
problems related to research work on the different aspects of  dialogues, as
well as on the types of verbal encounters in which the dialogue constitutes the
specific form of communication between participants. 

The call for paper is addressed to colleagues who can show partial or final
results of their investigations  or critical revisions of analytic frameworks
and research methods used in dialogue análisis form different theoretical frames.

Official Languages: Spanish, Portuguese and English.
