Senior Software Engineer - Information Extraction 

SkyGrid has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a passionate,
focused, and experienced innovator to join our engineering team. Help us
create the next-generation of our SkyGrid Internet application. Our
application provides real-time semantic analysis and personalized delivery
of Internet news.  Your role will be central to insuring that our system
continues to provide high quality news to our clients.

As a Senior Engineer you will use your knowledge in fields such as
information extraction, data mining, natural language processing, and
computational linguistics to advance the capabilities of our core
analytics.  You will participate in the design, creation, and maintenance
of our analytics infrastructure. The candidate is expected to take
ownership of significant parts of our technology and continually improve
the system.

Responsibilities

-  Take responsibility for the core components of our semantic analytics
engine while advancing the state of the art.
-  Work with other software developers on our team to ensure that our
internet application remains best of class.
-  Take responsibility for delivering stable code, meeting specifications
and timelines. 
-  Participate in ongoing code reviews and inspire and mentor junior
developers to ensure consistent quality and adherence to internal standards. 

Qualifications
-  PhD Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
-  Experience in relevant fields such as information extraction, data
mining, NLP, and computational linguistics.
-  5+ years of relevant software development experience.
-  Experience in Python, Java, or C/C++.
-  Proven problem-solving skills and track record of successful software
delivery.
