Meeting Description:

Submissions are invited for papers and posters focusing on the L2 acquisition of
syntax and its interfaces with other modules of the grammar, with an emphasis on
morphology, semantics and pragmatics. Contributions which explore both empirical
aspects and theoretical issues relating to the acquisition of interface
properties are particularly welcome.

The Linguistics Research Centre of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (CLUNL) is happy
to announce that a Workshop on Interfaces in L2 Acquisition will take place at
Universidade Nova de Lisboa on 19-20 June 2009. Submissions are invited for
papers and posters focussing on the L2 acquisition of syntax and its interfaces
with other modules of the grammar, with an emphasis on morphology, semantics and
pragmatics. We particularly welcome contributions which explore both empirical
aspects and theoretical issues relating to the acquisition of interface properties.

Abstract Submission
Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks, plus 10 minutes for discussion. The
workshop language is English. Authors are asked to send abstracts by e-mail, as
Word attachments, to Ana Madeira at ana.madeira at fcsh.unl.pt. The abstract should
include the title, but not the author's name(s). The title of the paper, name of
the author(s), affiliation(s), postal address, e-mail address and category
(paper/poster) should be included in the e-mail message. Abstracts should be no
longer than two pages in length, including examples and references, with 2.5 cm
margins, in 12-point Times, single-spaced. 

The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended until 29 March 2009.
Speakers will be notified of the results of their abstract review by 30 April 2009.

Those interested in attending the workshop, whether presenting a paper or not,

wil2a at fcsh.unl.pt by 10 June 2009 to register (there is no registration fee).
