Description:

The Department of International Language Studies and Computational
Linguistics (ISV) invites applications for a vacant Associate Professorship
in Computational Linguistics.

Language processes in businesses rely increasingly on language technology,
and information processes rely increasingly on electronic formatting,
parsing and retrieval of text. It is in the interest of ISV to maintain a
highly competent research environment combining linguistic and
computational approaches to information and translation processes.

The Associate Professorship is a tenured position with research and
teaching obligations. 

Successful applicants are expected to be physically present and actively
participate in the teaching and research activities of the department.

Responsibilities:
- Research meeting high international standards and promoting the academic
development of the field of computational linguistics 
- Fund raising and initiation and coordination of research projects
- Course development, teaching, and examinations
- Promotion of the teaching and research capabilities of Copenhagen
Business School within the core area of computational linguistics 
- Contribution to the administrative responsibilities of the department
- Communication of research-based knowledge in society, including
participation in the public debate

The Associate Professor is expected to contribute to the development and
application of the research of the department's research areas and to
maintain and strengthen its international research position.

Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in an appropriate field
- Documented pedagogical qualifications or other material for the
evaluation of his/her pedagogical level (see below)
- Documented research production at an international level, including
publications in the field's interna-tionally recognized journals
- Documented proficiency in English

Applicants without appropriate teaching experience will be appointed on a
probationary period of up to 1½ years.

Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the agreement of the
Ministry of Finance's agreement with the Central Academic Organisation.
