Meeting Description:

The 23rd edition of the Conference of the Linguistic Association (CLAN) will be
held at the Lagos State University in Lagos, Nigeria, October 26-30, 2009. The
theme of the conference is 'Language, Literature and Culture in a Dynamic
World'. Papers relating to all aspects of the study of African languages will be
considered. Some of these include:
- Phonetics and Phonology 
- Syntax and Semantics 
- Language Contact and Language Use
- Language Endangerment and Documentation
- Language, Literature, Culture and Documentation
- Language, Literature, Culture and Technology
- Language, Literature, Culture and Development

- Language Policy, Planning, and Management

Call for Papers

Abstracts may be submitted in English by email (a word attachment or PDF is
preferred) to the email address:lasulan2009 at yahoo.com. The abstract should be
between 250-400 words using 12 point Times Roman Font. 

Registration and payment of fees will be made concurrently at the registration
desk from Sunday October, 25.
