Meeting Description:
ILLS 1: LOL (29-31 May 2009) is a student-run conference at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The first annual meeting of the Illinois Language & Linguistics Society (ILLS)
will be held at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign from 29-31 May
2009. The theme of the first meeting is Language Online, and thus many of the
papers address computer-mediated communication, but the meeting also includes
papers in other areas of linguistics.
ILLS 1:LOL will be broadcast online via live stream
(http://www.linguistics.uiuc.edu/ILLS/).
This coming weekend, May 29-31, 2009, the Linguistics Student
Organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is
proud to present Illinois Language and Linguistics Society 1: Language
Online. Through a partnership with ATLAS Digital Media, we are now
able to offer a live stream of the conference online at
http://www.linguistics.uiuc.edu/ILLS.
Tune in this weekend to participate in this exciting new conference!
Online participants will have the opportunity to submit questions in
real time for the moderator to convey to the presenters.
