Meeting Description:

The Linguistics Program at the University of Missouri will host the 2009 Mid
America Linguistics Conference over the weekend of October 9-11, 2009 on the
Columbia campus.  We invite abstracts for 20-minute talks in all areas of
linguistics including (but not limited to) phonetics, phonology, morphology,
syntax, sociolinguistics, semantics, and language acquisition.

Abstracts are also invited for a special session on Bantu linguistics.

Abstract Submission:
 
Anonymous abstracts of no longer than 500 words (plus references) should be
e-mailed as PDF attachments to:

MALC at missouri.edu 

The body of the e-mail should contain the abstract title; area of
specialization; and name of author(s), affiliation(s), and an e-mail
address. The subject line should read Phonology Abstract, Syntax Abstract,
Bantu Abstract, etc. as appropriate, to expedite electronic handling.
