We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at
http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.html.

I have been looking for an article written by Bowerman, M. (see details
below). Even the interlibrary loan service at my university (Boston
College) could not help in this regard as the article seems to be an
unpublished conference paper, with no library holdings.

I wonder if someone has this article or at least the contact information
(email address) of the article author.

The article is:
Bowerman, M. (1989). When a patient is the subject: sorting out passives,
anticausatives, and middles in the acquisition of English. Ms. Max Planck
Institute for Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Paper presented
at the Symposium on Voice University of Santa Barbara, California.

Thank you for any assistance you can offer!
