Description:

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at The University of
Texas at San Antonio invites applications for a non-tenure-track Senior
Lecturer position in Spanish starting Fall 2010. This is a full-time
position with a three-year renewable contract.

Responsibilities: Teaching and coordinating the undergraduate language
courses in the B.A. program in Spanish. Application of the latest foreign
language methods and technologies to language teaching. Leadership in the
development of methods and technologies for the future. 

Required qualifications - University or college teaching experience,
fluency in Spanish (with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish
coursework). M.A. or Ph.D. in relevant areas, such as Spanish linguistics,
applied linguistics, foreign language education, etc.

Preferred qualifications - Experience with technology-enhanced teaching.
Other fields of expertise related to foreign language teaching are a plus.
Experience with grants and funding is also desirable.

Applicants must submit a letter of interest, current CV, unofficial
transcripts of graduate studies, and three letters of recommendation to the

will continue until the position is filled. Applicants who are invited for
interviews must be able to show proof that they will be eligible to work in
