Meeting Description:

A workshop on 'Clausal Arguments in Comparative perspective' will be held at the
6th International Contrastive Linguistics Conference (Freie Universität Berlin,
September 30 - October 2, 2010).

2nd Call for Papers

The workshop aims at bringing together linguists investigating the syntactic
and semantic properties of clausal arguments from a comparative
perspective. Historical papers and contributions combining synchronic with
diachronic research are encouraged, as are comparative corpus studies.

The following is a non-exclusive list of topics that are potentially
interesting: (i) types of predicates and complementation strategies, (ii)
inventories and distribution of complementizers, (iii) encoding of overt
subjects in nonfinite clauses, (iv) clausal anaphors. For more information,
please consult the conference website. A workshop description can be found on
the 'Call for papers' page ('Thematic sessions').

Abstracts should be submitted using the abstract submission form of the host
conference. Please choose 'Clausal arguments in comparative perspective' under
'Topic'.
