We would like to announce the publication today of a new issue of the
working papers series Groninger Arbeiten zur germanistischen Linguistik
(GAGL). GAGL 49 is a 300 page collection of articles guest-edited by Marc
Fryd, entitled 'The passive in Germanic languages'. You are welcome to
browse the volume's contents and read all papers online for free at
http://gagl.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/2009-49/.

GAGL publishes working papers and prepublications on the subject of
Germanic linguistics. Its aim is to facilitate and stimulate discussion
through a speedy distribution of draft versions. Copyright remains with the
authors of the individual papers, and inclusion of their work in GAGL does
not in any way preclude publication elsewhere. We welcome submissions
throughout the year (http://www.let.rug.nl/zwart/gagl).

GAGL was founded by Werner Abraham and is currently edited by Jan-Wouter
Zwart. Full text content of earlier issues of GAGL from 1981 on is
available at the Groningen University Library repository
(http://gagl.eldoc.ub.rug.nl).
