Linguistic Field(s): Linguistic Theories; Syntax

Meeting Description:

We are happy to announce York Frameworks, a conferential event that hopes to
overview various differential approaches to understanding language and syntax.
The workshop hopes to facilitate a constructive dialogue between different
theoretical syntactic framworks and promote theoretical diversity to a
less-aware audience.

The event will cover the following frameworks:

-Lexical Functional Grammar (Prof. Mary Dalrymple, University of Oxford)
-Minimalism (Dr. George Tsoulas, The University of York)
-Dynamic Syntax (Prof. Ruth Kempson, King's College, University of London & Dr.
Ronnie Cann, The University of Edinburgh)
-Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar (Steve Harlow, The University of York)
-Combinatory Categorial Grammar (Prof. Mark Steedman, The University of Edinburgh)

All are welcome to attend.
