Meeting Description:

International Summer School on Multimodal Approaches in Neuroscience
Leipzig, Germany, July 19 - 21, 2010

The Summer School is relevant for anybody working in cognitive Neuroscience,
including linguists. As soon as anybody uses modern imaging techniques, they are
confronted with the daily issues of how to apply more than one imaging
technique, how to interpret these data and to define brain structures and links
between them associated with their field of research

This Summer School will review and discuss different aspects of the cutting-edge
topic multimodal approaches in neuroscience:

(1) How different brain imaging techniques are combined in a synergistic way to
increase the precision of temporal and spatial data in order to facilitate the
improved interpretation of data
(2) How anatomical data from human post-mortem brains and data from imaging
techniques are integrated in order to answer burning questions about form and
function in the brain
(3) How to progress beyond localization of activation by understanding the
interactions between brain areas

Target Group:

We cordially invite national and international graduate students with a
background in computer science, linguistics, neurobiology, neurology, physics,
psychiatry, psychology, or related fields to participate and contribute to the
summer school. Participants are invited to present their current project in the
form of a poster.

There is no registration fee for the Summer School.
