Meeting Description: 

Abralin - Brazilian Linguistics Association - is pleased to announce its VIIth.
International Congress, to be held at Federal University of Paraná, in the city
of Curitiba, Brazil. The aim of the congress is to elicit discussion on recent
works on any linguistic fields, by putting together researchers from all over
the world. Abstracts can be written in English. Further information on the
Congress, as well as on the guidelines for abstracts submissions can be found at
the Congress webpage.

The current members of the executive committee of the Brazilian Association of
Linguistics (ABRALIN, www.abralin.org) for the 2009-2011 term, are pleased to
announce  the 7th edition of our biannual International Conference and in the
20th edition of our biannual Linguistics Institute.

The Conference aims at putting together linguists from all over the world to
discuss recent issues on all linguistics subfields and will take place in
between the 10th and the 12th of February 2011, and it will consist of debates,
invited speeches, submitted communications and posters. The Institute - that
consists of courses offered by invited professors from Brazilian and foreign
Univerisities dealing with different linguistics subfields -  will take place in
two halves, one right before the Conference (February 7th-9th), and the other
one\ right after it (February 14th-18th). The first half of the Institute will
consist of a set 12-hour courses (4-hour classes each day), while the second
half will consist of a set 20-hour courses (4-hour classes each day).
