Meeting Description:

This International Seminar on 'Interdisciplinary Perspective on Semantics' aims
at having the discussion on how the logical form (LF)works in regard to the
complexities of Indian languages and what exactly full interpretations 
(FI)means for us. It invites papers on the scope of quantifiers, negation and 
adverbials in Indian languages. It welcomes papers on truth value semantics 
and how presupposition, entailment and logical implications work in our 
languages. It also invites papers on pragmatic implicatures keeping in view the 
maxims of H.P.Grice and later developments involving the concept of 
relevance. It also welcomes papers on the application of Indian or Arabic 
theory of semantics with reference to modern languages. 

Call For Papers

Research papers are invited from scholars both within and outside India. An
abstract of not more than three hundred words should be sent to any of the
members of the Organizing Committee by September 30, 2010. Notification of
acceptance will be given by October 31, 2010. Full papers should be emailed 
by December 31, 2010. No submission will be accepted after this date. At the 
end of the Seminar we propose to bring out the proceedings.
