Meeting Description: 

The XI Conference of the Italian Association on Applied Linguistics (AItLA), 
on the theme 'Linguistic competences and education. In memory of Monica 
Berretta', will take place in Bergamo from 9th to 11th of June 2011. 

The conference will be centered on the following themes:

- L1 and L2 competence: definition, measurement;
- L1 and L2 learner varieties, relations and crosslinguistic evidences;
- The role of Input in its different forms: native, non-native, multilingual, 
multimedia input;
- Output and use: linguistic and communicational aspects, educational 
issues.
