Description:

The Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature (Department of Cognitive
Linguistics) of Goethe University welcomes applications for a full-time
position in Linguistics at the level of professor (W2).

The ideal candidate will be specialised in either psycholinguistics or the
linguistic analysis of sign language, taking cognitive perspectives into
account. She will have a strong research record and documented teaching
experience in linguistics.

The candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and
graduate levels and will also be involved in teachers training. Experience
in and novel ideas regarding the teaching of linguistic topics in school
would be an asset. A significant contribution to administration and to the
development of new academic programs will also be expected.

The position is subject to the requirements stipulated in paragraphs 7o(6)
and 71 of the 'Hessisches Hochschulgesetz'. In particular, the candidate
should have completed his/her habilitation or be able to demonstrate an
equivalent qualification.
