The Graduate Linguistics Association of Minnesota is pleased to announce the 3rd
annual Minnesota Student Workshop on Linguistics (MNSWOL) to be held May 7-8,
2010 at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Topics deal with all general
and applied issues of linguistics. 

Call for Papers

The Graduate Linguistics Association of Minnesota is pleased to announce
the 3rd annual Minnesota Student Workshop on Linguistics (MNSWOL) to be held
May 7-8, 2010 at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Papers are invited on
topics that deal with all general and applied issues of linguistics. Twenty
minutes will be allowed for each presentation followed by ten minutes for
discussion.

Graduate and undergraduate students interested in presenting papers are
requested to submit an abstract giving the title of the paper, a brief statement
of the topic, and a summary clearly stating how the topic will be developed (the
reasoning, data, or experimental results to be presented). Abstracts should be
at most one page, single spaced, with one inch margins and 12 point font. A
second page may be included for references and/or data.

Abstracts should be submitted in PDF format by e-mail to Suzanne van Duym at
vanam008 at umn.edu; include MNSWOL in the subject line of the email. Please do
not include any identifying information in the abstract. The author's name,
affiliation (institution and department), email address, and paper title should
be included in the body of the email message.

Deadline for receipt of abstracts is April 11, 2010.
