Description:

The Department of Romance Philology of the University of Cologne is looking
for a recent MA major in Romance Philology or General Linguistics or 
Computational Linguistics with a keen interest in Corpus Linguistics.

Candidates should have a good experience in different operating
systems (Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft), in at least one programming or script
language (e.g. Perl) and they should be familiar with annotation and query
tools.

The position will be part-time (50%); salary and social benefits are
determined by the German public service pay scale (TVL-13). The teaching
load is two hours per week , which corresponds to one course per
semester. Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, academic
transcripts indicating their degrees and further detailed information on
their language competence, experience in corpus linguistics and programming
etc. to the email address below.

The position is limited, for the time being, to 2 years (but can be renewed for
a third year). It is available starting 1 April 2010 or soon thereafter.
