GLOW-in-Asia VIII (the 8th international conference of Generative Linguistics in
the Old World, Asia) will be held on August 12-16, 2010 in Beijing, China, under
the auspices of the Center for Linguistic Theory of Beijing Language and Culture
University.

2nd Call for Papers

New abstract deadline is March 15, 2010.

We cordially invite submission of abstracts representing original research
dealing with current issues in all areas of generative theoretical linguistics.
Each accepted paper will be allotted 30 minutes for presentation and 10-15
minutes for discussion. We anticipate that funds will be available to provide
presenters of accepted papers with some form of subsidy for travel and/or
lodging expenses.

Please adhere to the following submission guidelines in preparing your abstract.
Abstracts that do not conform to the guidelines will not be reviewed.

Authorship
To facilitate anonymous review, your abstract should not include any author
information. Each author is limited to the submission of at most one abstract as
sole author plus one as co-author.

Format
All submissions should conform to the following formatting guidelines:

- Do not exceed 2 single-spaced A4 pages, with 1-inch margins
- Use font size 12 throughout, preferably in Times New Roman
- Romanize all Asian text; avoid Asian character fonts if possible
- Begin each abstract with the title at the top
- Provide 3 keywords in the line below the title
- Reserve 3 single-spaced blank lines between the keywords and the main text of
the abstract
- Embed examples within the text
- Include a selected bibliography at the end

Content
Please note that although the GLOW conference will be held in coordination with
TEAL-6 Workshop and the Zhu-Lu Symposium, these are independently organized and
run. Each author is welcome to submit abstracts to more than one event, as long
as the abstracts aresubstantially different in content. We strongly discourage
the submission of one identical abstract to two events.

Deadline
The deadline for receipt of all abstracts is March 15, 2010.
