Call for Papers

Abstracts are invited for 20-minute presentation and posters on the following
topics: first and second language acquisition, bilingualism, language disorders. 

Format: 
Length: 500 words (plus 1 extra page for examples, figures, trees, references,
etc.); font-size 12 pts., Times New Roman; margins: 1" The abstract should
include a title but no names or affiliation. Please include the word count at
the bottom of the abstract. Submission limit: no more than 2 submissions per
person, only one as primary author.

Special workshop on the acquisition in heritage languages contexts:
Heritage speakers show variability in the range of language skills, from those
that are fluent or dominant, to those who only retain basic receptive abilities
in their heritage language. Heritage speaker populations offer a unique
opportunity for the study of bilingual acquisition at the limits of language
competence. This workshop invites presentation proposals on language acquisition
in heritage populations that makes a contribution to linguistic theory and the
theory of language acquisition.

Abstracts should be submitted on the website at:
http://www.spanport.utoronto.ca/galana4/. Abstracts can be submitted in English
or French. Please indicate on the abstract if you want to be considered for the
main session or for the Heritage workshop.
