Description:

The University of Cologne is pleased to announce a vacancy for a 

Full Professorship (W2) in Romance Philology / Romance Linguistics
(Succession of Prof. Dr. Andreas Wesch). 

The research and teaching profile of the successful applicant should focus
on Spanish Linguistics and cover the linguistics of a further Romance
language. He or she should be willing to contribute to teacher training
programs (including practical didactics) and to actively participate in the
interdisciplinary centres in the Faculty of Arts. 

Prerequisites for an application are a PhD, a Habilitation, or equivalent
substantial publications beyond the doctoral thesis, and expertise in
teaching. 

Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome. Given equal
qualifications, severely handicapped applicants will be preferred.
Applications from women are particularly welcome. Given equal
qualifications, ability, and achievement, women will be preferred.

Applications are to include a CV, a list of publications and oral
presentations, a list of courses offered to date, and certified copies of
documents relating to academic qualifications and appointments. No copies
of publications are required at this stage.
