Meeting Description:

CamLing aims to bring together postgraduate students working in a wide 
range of areas of language research and to provide a forum for 
interdisciplinary discussion where students can present and discuss their 
work with other people from both theoretical and applied backgrounds. The 
conference is run under the auspices of the Cambridge Institute of 
Language Research, an organisation that aims to bring together research 
taking place in different departments and faculties at Cambridge and to 
provide a forum for interdisciplinary discussion. 

We invite postgraduate students to submit abstracts for 20 minute oral
presentations (to be followed by 10 minutes of discussion) as well as poster
presentations on any of the following areas of language research:

Phonetics
Phonology
Morphology
Syntax
Semantics
Pragmatics
Historical Linguistics
Sociolinguistics/Language Variation
Psycholinguistics
Language Acquisition
Neurolinguistics
Computational Linguistics

Abstracts must be anonymous and should not contain the author's name or 
any other identifying information. Abstracts must be no more than 300 
words (excluding references), written in 12-point Times New Roman, fully 
justified, and single spaced with top/bottom and left/right margins of 2.5 cm. 
In case IPA or any other special symbols are required, any Unicode font 
may be used  but Arial Unicode MS, Charis SIL and Doulos SIL are 
preferred.

Abstracts will be reviewed by an independent reviewers committee. Please, 
submit your abstract in Word or PDF format via the Linguist List's EasyAbs 
submission system at http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/camling2010 by 
Friday 3 September 2010. There you will be asked to indicate whether your 
abstract is to be considered for oral or poster presentation as well as the 
area of language research that it falls in. Notification of acceptance will be 
by Friday 8 October 2010.
