Meeting Description:

The Bloomsbury Round Table on Communication, Cognition & Culture is an
annual, international event, jointly hosted by adjacent colleges of the
University of London, led by Birkbeck College, where researchers at
different stages of their career are invited to present the latest work in
the broad fields of Language, Communication and Cognition. This year the
event will be co-organised by the International Association of
Multilingualism, the AILA Research network "Multilingualism: Acquisition
and Use" and Birkbeck's Centre for Multilingual & Multicultural Research.
The Thematic Focus will be on 'The Multiple Faces of Multilingualism'.  The
Round Table will consist of 9 invited presentations and a limited number of
paper presentations and posters. The total number of participants will not
exceed 60. 

Call for Papers:

If you wish to present a paper or poster at the Round Table, please submit
an abstract at: https://www2.bbk.ac.uk/linguistics/abstract.html

Deadline: April 30, 2010.

The registration fee for the 2010 Bloomsbury Round Table is £ 55 (fifty
five pounds) per person. A reduced fee of £ 35 (thirty five pounds) is
charged to students and the unemployed, subject to proof of status. Online

A highly selective number of papers presented at the Round Table, together
with other articles, will be published in Applied Linguistics Review in
2011 by Mouton de Gruyter.
