We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at
http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.cfm.

Dear colleagues and scholars,

I should like to seek your cooperation to inform me if you are aware of
any book on English academic writing for Islamic purposes. Having
taught this (apparently new) course for a couple of semesters at some
universities and Islamic research institutes in Qom, Iran, I have decided
to develop a textbook to fill this educational gap. I have several
reasons for undertaking this project; however, I should like to request
your cooperation whether you have been informed of such a textbook,
if any.

I will be grateful for your answers, suggestions, and particularly
constructive criticism and look forward to hearing from you soon.

With best wishes,
Dr. Muhammad-Reza Fakhr-Rohani
