Meeting Description:

The 26th Comparative Germanic Syntax Workshop is organized by the Meertens Institute, the University of Amsterdam and the Edisyn-project. It will take place at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on June 23-24, 2011. It will be followed by the fifth European Dialect Syntax Workshop on June 25th.

Call for Papers:

We invite abstracts for thirty-minute talks (followed by ten minutes of discussion). Abstracts can be on any aspect of comparative Germanic syntax, including diachronic syntax and the interface between syntax and other components of the grammar. Guidelines: Abstracts should not exceed two pages, including data, references and diagrams. Abstracts should be typed in at least 11-point font, with one-inch margins (letter-size; 8''1/2 by 11'' or A4) and a maximum of 50 lines of text per page. Abstracts must be anonymous and submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author per workshop.
