Meeting Description:

The 13th 'Annual Conference of the English Department of the University of Bucharest' will be organized in Bucharest and will take place from June 2nd to 4th 2011. 

The official language of the conference will be English.

Themes: Theoretical Linguistics, Translation, Applied Linguistics 

Call for Papers:

Submissions are invited for papers in any of the following fields: theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, and translation studies. Authors are asked to submit their abstracts as e-mail attachments in both MS word and pdf formats to the following address: linguistics2011 at gmail.com

The abstract should include the title and three keywords/phrases that best describe the content of the abstract. The title of the paper, name of the author(s), affiliation(s), surface mail address and e-mail address should be included in the e-mail message. Abstracts should not be longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point type, single line spacing and 2,5 cm. margins. Talks will be 20 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion.

Deadline for submission: February 15th 2011.The notification of acceptance will be no later than April 15th, 2011.

A selection of the papers will be published in Bucharest Working Papers in Linguistics.

Papers are invited in the following areas: 

- Theoretical Linguistics 
- Applied Linguistics
- Translation Studies
