The aim of the conference is to explore new answers to the following vital questions: Is the mind modular and to which extent? Which properties do cognitive systems exhibit in virtue of their modularity? To what extent is a modular approach in the neurosciences useful and based on experimental evidence? How can such findings be used to elucidate the pathophysiology of mental or neurological disorders and help to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic methods?
