A regular event since 1988, the Conference of the Italian group of historians of the English Language has this year the theme: Dialogic Forms in One Thousand Years of English Texts - From Old English to Late Modern English. It will be held in Cagliari, Sardinia, in late May 2011, and includes three invited speakers on issues of diachronic studies of dialogue and historical pragmatics.
Conference Organization:
As in the tradition of the group, the conference will start on a Thursday mid-morning and will close on a Saturday late morning with our business meeting. The sessions will be held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and at the Faculty of Economics, which are both near the historic centre of Cagliari. The conference website is active, care of the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo, [http://www.slin15.it/] and all relevant information on travel, hotels, dining options and excursions is posted there and regularly updated. Please visit the website for this information.
