Description:

Assistant Professor/Experimental Linguist

The Linguistics Department at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey,
New Brunswick, has a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor
level available beginning Fall 2011. Desirable expertise includes
experimental design, statistics and quantitative analysis. The successful
applicant should have research interests that complement and relate to
those of the Linguistics Department faculty, which include phonetics,
phonology, syntax, semantics, and language learnability. Applicants should
have an outstanding research program, a serious commitment to teaching both
undergraduate and graduate students, and a strong commitment to
constructive interaction between experimental and theoretical work in
linguistics. 

Must be able to document that all requirements for PhD have been completed
prior to appointment start date.

Applications will be reviewed beginning November 1, 2010. For fullest
consideration, candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their
applications and all supporting materials by November 1, 2010.

CV, a statement of research and teaching interests, evidence of teaching
ability (if available), up to three representative samples of published or
