Meeting Description:

The second FLLAS international conference on foreign languages for 
specific purposes, which is jointly organized by the Foreign Language and 
Literature Association of Serbia and the University of Belgrade (Faculty of 
Philosophy and Faculty of Philology) will take place on 4 - 5 February 2011 
at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Serbia. 

The conference aims at bringing together professionals from around the 
world to discuss and reflect on their ideas in various professional fields of 
the subject area that are studied within languages for specific purposes - 
LSP - (English, French, German, Russian, Spanish and Italian) at the 
academic and secondary school levels of education in Serbia. Special 
attention will be paid to the importance of teaching foreign languages for 
specific purposes at different academic levels, with a particular focus on 
practical problems. Participants are invited to share their own experience 
with the others, as well as their views on the challenges and prospects for 
teaching LSP in today's educational systems. The aim of the conference is a 
lively and productive exchange of knowledge and theoretical and practical 
experience. 

Call For Papers

The conference aims at bringing together professionals from around the 
world to discuss and reflect on their ideas in the subject area. Special 
attention will be paid to the importance of teaching foreign languages for 
specific purposes at different academic levels, with a particular focus on 
practical problems. Participants are invited to share their own experience 
with the others, as well as their views on the challenges and prospects for 
teaching LSP in today's educational systems. We also believe the 
conference to offer multiple opportunities for professional contact and 
development. 

The FLT Resources Exhibition, showing the latest published materials, 
videos, computer software and internet services will be open to all 
participants during the conference.

The languages of the conference are English, French, German, Italian, 
Spanish, Russian and Serbian.

We invite proposals for individual papers, panels, workshops and posters 
on the topics suggested, but not strictly limited to the list above. Abstracts 
should be written in the language of the presentation and be up to 100 
words long. All session presentations are allotted 30 minutes, including 
discussion time. Plenary speeches are allotted 50 minutes. 

The LSP Conference Registration Form / Speaker Proposal Form can be 
taken over at www.dsjks.com and should be submitted to the following e-
mail address:lspbg11 at gmail.com (Subject line: FLLAS Conference 
registration form) NOT LATER THAN OCTOBER 15th 2010. 

The conference venue is the Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade. Additional
information about travel arrangements, accommodation, registration and 
other practical details will be duly posted on the Association website
