Dear Subscribers,

The Grad School Challenge is still going strong!
Here are some recent developments from the US East
region:

The leader of the US East is Ohio State University
where they've raised $1125, but they're followed
closely by Georgetown University which is at $1075.
Cornell University is in third place with $895 raised,
but close behind them is Indiana University at $874,
where a donation of $22 would put them in third place!
The University of South Carolina is rounding out fifth
place with $650 raised, where 24 donors have secured
their position in the top 5 for the US East.

But perhaps second place isn't enough for Georgetown
University? Just $51 would knock Ohio State University
out of the leading position! Or will Indiana University
claim third place, upsetting Cornell University's
placement? Maybe the University of South Carolina won't
settle for fifth place and will shake up the standings
altogether?

The challenge isn't over yet! To help your school take
the lead by donating now:

And don't forget to watch the excitement unfold at the
Grad School Challenge section of our Fund Drive Page:

The crew of students at LINGUIST is thrilled by the
developments in this challenge, but ultimately we are
just grateful for every dollar that comes in.

Thank you all so much!

The LINGUIST Crew

This Year the LINGUIST List hopes to raise $67,000. This money will go to help

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as
such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered
501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax return
(U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact
your financial advisor.

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple
administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if your company
operates such a program.

Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
