A selection of essays developed from papers given at the conference will be published in the FRLSU's peer-reviewed web-based series, the Publications of the Forum for Research on the Languages of Scotland and Ireland (www.abdn.ac.uk/pfrlsu). 

Call for Papers:

Abstracts are sought for papers concerned with any language(s) spoken, signed or written now or in the past in Scotland (and the Northern Isles) or the nine counties of Ulster. Comparisons with languages used elsewhere are also very welcome, as is scholarship informed by any theoretical viewpoint. 

Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be sent by 1 February 2012 to Robert McColl Millar at r.millar at abdn.ac.uk.
