Description:

The Department of Romance and Classical Studies at Michigan State University 
is seeking up to 3 dynamic full-time instructors of Spanish for the language 
courses beginning August 16, 2012. 

Minimum Qualifications:
M.A degree or equivalent; demonstrable knowledge of contemporary approaches 
to communicative language teaching; oral ability in Spanish at the Advanced-
plus level on the ACTFL scale; willingness to work in an articulated program with 
other instructors and under the leadership of the Language Program Director. 
Preference given to candidates who are certified ACTFL testers, those with 
M.A. degree in Applied Linguistics (or related field), and prior demonstrated 
excellence as an instructor.

The individual selected will teach three courses per semester and will be 
expected to participate in activities related to the language program. This is a 
fixed-term position and potential for annual renewal based on performance and 
availability of funding.
