Meeting Description:

The Students' Conference of Linguistics in India, lovingly acknowledged as
SCONLI, is a two day international conference followed by one day workshop.
It's an annual event of the students, by the students and for the students
of Linguistics. It has served as a scholarly platform for young and budding
linguists to engage in diverse activities ranging from writing to reviewing
papers to chairing the conference sessions. SCONLI-6 presents an
opportunity for interaction on assorted issues concerning research in
language and linguistics within and outside India.

Initiated in the year 2006 this conference has completed five glorious
years. Now, the Department of Linguistics, Banaras Hindu University in
collaboration with Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore is
extremely happy to announce the sixth edition of this conference (SCONLI-6)
from 17th -19th February, 2012. These three days will see a fine blend of
several academic activities; oral and poster presentations, special
lectures, workshops, interaction among students from across India and
abroad. Besides academic exercises, cultural events and a tour to the city
of temples (i.e. Varanasi) embellish the event. The publication (with ISBN)
of a select number of papers presented at the conference is also included
in the conference agenda. 

Call for Papers:

Authors' Guidelines:

Papers written in English (formatted with 12 pt, Times New Roman, single
spaced) are invited.

An author can submit a maximum of two papers of which only one can be
single authored. Submit your paper(s) along with abstract and references in
.pdf as well as .doc format.

Paper length: 4-6, A4 sized pages (including abstract and references)
