Meeting Description:

The notion of space assists us in describing the most varied spheres of human existence. We can speak of various physical (topological, projective, linear, circular), metaphysical (mythical, sacred), social (sociological, national-historical, local, global, ethnic), communicative (linguistic, textual, contextual, narrative, hermeneutical) spaces, as structuring components providing access to various literary, linguistic and social phenomena, thus promoting the initiation of a cross-disciplinary dialogue.

Conference Fee: 100 RON (25 EUR) to be paid upon arrival. It will cover meals and conference documents.

Call for Papers:

The conference primarily encourages investigations carried out in the above-mentioned research fields. Paper proposals are welcome in the following topics: intercultural and interethnic spaces; linguistic, textual space formation; the narratology of space, spatial-temporal relationships, space constructing mechanisms in literature and film; semantic and cognitive approaches to space in linguistics, literary and social studies; virtual and imaginary spaces.
