This conference is organized by the Language Learning Centre of the University of Western Ontario, with support from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Education, Research Western and Western's Canadian Language Portfolio Research Group (WesternCAN).

The theme of this bilingual (English-French) conference is: Innovative approaches to second language pedagogy. Special emphasis will be placed on interdisciplinary, multimodal, digital, and 'tried and true' practices.

Call for Papers:

The Language Learning Centre of the University of Western Ontario, with support from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Education, Research Western and WesternCAN is pleased to announce a refereed conference on Innovative Approaches To Second Language Teaching  (IASLT): Interdisciplinary, Multimodal, Digital, and Tried and True Practices.

Theme: any aspect of second language pedagogy, with special emphasis on innovative approaches.
Duration: 20-minute presentations (plus 10 minutes for discussion)

Abstract Submission:

- Word or PDF format
- Abstracts should not exceed one page in length (including data, references, etc.)
- 12-point Times New Roman
- All margins should be at least one inch wide (2.5 cm).

Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.

Abstracts should be submitted in to joycebg at uwo.ca. Abstracts should be anonymous. Include author(s) name(s), title of paper, affiliation, e-mail address, address and telephone in the body of the e-mail.

Talks are accepted in French or English.

Deadline for Abstract Submission: 10th of March 2011
Notification: 17th of March 2011
