Description:

The Department of English and Theatre at Eastern Kentucky University seeks
applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in Linguistics/Language
Studies available August 15, 2011. Applicants must hold a doctorate in
Linguistics or a related field from a regionally accredited or
internationally recognized institution by the time of appointment.
Expertise and experience in the ESL field preferred. The successful
applicant will teach a total of four undergraduate and graduate courses per
semester, including courses in general linguistics, ESL, grammar, and
composition. The successful applicant must have teaching experience at the
post-secondary level, a record of professional and scholarly achievement,
and a willingness to support indicated teaching methods such as on-line
instruction. Salary will be consistent with an entry-level faculty position.
