Description:

Pearson Knowledge Technologies is seeking a short-term consultant to assist
with a data collection for a new automated test of spoken French. This is a
short-term, temporary assignment. 

The consultant's task is be to locate and recruit between 30 and 80 French
as a Foreign Language students/speakers to each take a 15 minute spoken
French test over a landline phone or Windows PC. Testing does not need to
be supervised or proctored, but serious test takers are essential.  The
recruited pool of test-takers must have a wide variety of ability levels of
French, from beginning to advanced. The test-takers must also come from a
variety of non-English first language backgrounds. Note that this effort is
aimed at speakers learning or knowing European French as opposed to
Canadian French.

The consultant's task will be to locate and recruit groups of test-takers,
record test-taker demographic information in a spreadsheet, provide
test-takers with test sheets and instructions, follow up with test-takers,
and verify completed tests, and distribute payments or assign appropriate
course credit to test-takers who have completed the test.

The ideal candidate will most likely be located in France, and have
existing connections to a large group of French-learners in schools of
French as a Foreign Language, call centers, and/or a immigrant communities
in France.  The ideal candidate will also be organized, responsible, and
able to work independently.
