Meeting Description:

The Linguistics Student Organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its third annual meeting of the Illinois Languages and Linguistics Society (ILLS) on April 22-24.

The 3rd annual meeting of the Illinois Language and Linguistics Society will be held April 22-24, 2011 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. ILLS is a general Linguistics conference open to all subfields. This year's meeting will include a special session Saturday April 23rd on the topic 'Multilingualism, Language Contact, and Globalization.'

Rakesh Bhatt (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
Fred Cummins (University College Dublin)
Fred Davidson (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)

Call for Papers:

Main Session:

Equal consideration will be given to papers from all major linguistic subfields, as well as from related cross-disciplinary areas.

Special Session

This session invites papers specifically relating to the topic of Multilingualism, Language Contact, and Globalization.
