Description:

The College of Letters, Arts and Sciences of the University of Southern 
California invites applications for a Postdoctoral Distinguished Teaching 
Fellowship for a 12 month appointment covering the 2011-2012 academic year, 
with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

Fields of specialization include all disciplines currently represented in USC 
College. The selected Fellows will be expected to teach three courses per year 
in one College department or across two departments or programs. The Fellows 
must have a Ph.D. from a USC College program received within 24 months prior 
to August 16, 2011 , the beginning of the appointment.

Applicants should send an application letter, CV, a brief description of 
dissertation and future research plans, and if applicable, a narrative timeline for 
finishing dissertation. In addition, applicants should request that a dossier of 
three letters ofrecommendation be sent by the deadline of February 1, 2010. At 
least one referee should speak to applicant's ability to complete dissertation by 
start of appointment, and at least one letter must directly address teaching 
ability, including potential courses the fellow would teach.
