Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Synopsis
Do you have a vision for better and faster language learning? EF is seeking
a passionate applied linguist to lead initiatives in the development of
blended learning in its schools worldwide.

The Role
We're looking for an energetic and innovative PhD holder to join our
worldwide operations team in Zurich. As Director of Curriculum and
Instruction, you will oversee the growth and success of EF's pioneering
language learning system used in our study abroad programs worldwide. You
will guide curriculum and materials development, drive teacher training
initiatives and represent EF in the field. With schools in exciting
destinations around the world from Cape Town to Beijing, the desire and
ability to travel internationally are essential.

Requirements
-PhD or EdD in Applied Linguistics or closely related field; candidates
completing a doctorate in the next 6 months will be considered
-At least 5 years experience in English language teaching 
-Leadership experience in the delivery English language programs
-Passion for teaching with new media and ideas for the future of learning
-An eye for accuracy and excellent editorial skills
-Knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and
its use in course and assessment design
-Excellent mastery of English, knowledge of additional languages a plus
-EU/Swiss passport or existing ability to work in Switzerland
