Description:

The Center for Teaching and Learning at Kyung Hee University, Seoul is 
seeking a teaching advisor for teachers (for the information about the 
university and the center, please refer to http://www.khu.ac.kr/ and 
http://khctl.khu.ac.kr). We seek expertise in higher education. The main 
duties of the teaching advisor include designing programs to help TTE 
(Teaching Through English) course teaching professors, organizing 
workshops for TTE teachers, providing consultation for teachers at the 
university, and teaching 6 hrs (2 courses) per week. 

Qualifications: the teaching advisor needs to have a Ph.D. degree in hand in 
areas such as English education, linguistics, creative writing, TESOL, 
literacy, literature, communication, (higher) education, or related field. At least 
one year teaching experience at a university level is a must.

Interested applicants are asked to send an application letter, three letters of 
recommendation, curriculum vitae (with a photo attached), and 
a writing sample (an academic paper or thesis) to the application address

The successful candidates will be appointed for the term of two years
beginning September 1, 2011. The position is renewable on good standing 
and the candidate may get tenured upon the publication of papers in AHCI or 
SSCI international journals. Salary is highly competitive and decided upon the 
candidate's educational background/experiences. Other benefits include 
research funding for publication, 8 week paid vacations (4 weeks in summer 
and 4 weeks in winter), health insurance, and a studio apartment with 
minimum rental fees.
