23rd International Conference of the Spanish Society for Maedival English Language and Literature, SELIM (Sociedad Española de Lengua y Literatura Inglesa Medieval) 

Call for Papers:

The organizing committee and the Spanish Society for Mediaeval English Language and Literature invite you to participate in the 23th SELIM conference to be held at the University of Huelva (Spain) from Thursday September 29 to Saturday October 1, 2011.

The following keynote speakers have already confirmed their participation in the conference: Nils-Lennart Johannesson (University of Stockholm), Margaret Laing (University of Edinburgh), Kathryn Lowe (University of Glasgow), Hugh Magennis (Queen's University Belfast), and Fernando Toda Iglesia (Universidad de Salamanca).

Papers are invited on all subjects in the field of medieval English studies. Presentations will be 20 minutes in length followed by a 10 minute discussion period.

Abstracts, of up to 300 words, should be submitted by e- mail attachment (as Word, RTF or PDF files to selim11 at dfing.uhu.es. They should include name(s), institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s), e-mail address and the technical support required for the presentation.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15 April, 2011. They will be refereed by members of the organizing committee, and authors will be notified of acceptance before the end of June 2011.
