Description:

The University of Konstanz is one of the nine Universities of Excellence in
the Federal Republic of Germany.  

The Department of Linguistics in the Faculty of Humanities at the
University of Konstanz invites applications for a tenured

W3-Professorship in Romance Linguistics

to be filled by October 1, 2012.

We are looking for experts in one of the core areas of Phonology,
Morphology, Syntax, or Semantics with a secondary specialization in another
field such as, for example, Historical Linguistics, Psycholinguistics,
Language Varieties, etc. The language specialization should include Italian
as well as French or Spanish.

We are looking for candidates that are experts in the field of Romance
Linguistics, as testified for example by publications in established
linguistic journals, important monographs, invited conference papers,
fellowships and awards (i.e., academic performance at least equivalent to
'Habilitation').

Cooperation with existing and planned research proposals at the department
