Assistant Professor of English Linguistics (100%)

The University of Neuchâtel will appoint, as of August, 1st 2012, an
Assistant Professor of English Linguistics. Possible fields of
specialisation: second language acquisition; psycholinguistics of language
acquisition; bilingualism; cognitive linguistics.This is a non-tenurable 4
year appointment, renewable once (maximum 8 years). Publications, research
and teaching experience are required. Responsibilities include 4 hours
weekly teaching (45 minutes each) and some administrative work.

Teaching in the Institute is in English, but knowledge of French would be
an advantage. Neuchâtel is an attractive town located only an hour from 
Geneva and four from Paris. Salaries are very competitive. 

Application procedure: candidates are invited to send their application by
30 September 2011, in written form as well as in electronic form (only pdf
documents), to the president of the hiring committee: Prof. Margaret
Tudeau-Clayton at the address and email address below.

The application should include: curriculum vitae with list of publications,
teaching experience and names of 3 referees; outline of proposed teaching
and research (3 pages max.) (please do not send any publications at this
stage); copies of diplomas or transcripts; and a cover letter defining your
vision of teaching and research and how you would contribute to the
Institute and Faculty.
