Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia:

Cambodia is emerging on the international stage and increasingly engaging with its neighbours and the international community more generally. The English language is playing a key role in facilitating this international engagement. As thousands of Cambodians embrace English as a medium to advance their understanding of the world and their employment opportunities in Cambodia itself, dozens of English language schools are springing up around the country. This conference assists and promotes the professionalism of English Language Teaching (ELT) in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The conference is of interest to:

- Classroom teachers of English
- Future teachers of English / teacher-trainees
- Administrators of English Language schools and universities
- Educators with an interest in international language education
- Donors interested in supporting English and international education
- ELT-related individuals and institutions e.g. book publishers, bookshop representatives, NGO representatives, Ministry of Education representatives etc.

The aims of the CamTESOL conference series are:

- to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and dissemination of information on good practices within English Language Teaching
- to strengthen and broaden the network of English Language teachers and all those involved in the ELT sector in Cambodia
- to increase the links between the ELT community in Cambodia and the international ELT community
