Conjoint with EUROLAN 2011 Summer School

Two half days between August 29 - September 3, 2011
Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Overview:
The new information and communication technologies have changed the business management climate. Organizations use everyday technological innovations to become more competitive. With the rapid development of natural language processing techniques, as well as their use in ever more industrial applications, the link between companies and academia is more necessary than ever.

Topics:
In this context, we invite researchers working in the field of NLP to submit papers for one of the following (and related) topics:
-exploitation of multilingual resources, including corpora, lexicons, wordnets, and ontologies, in industrial environments
-development of natural language processing tools suited for the economic environment
-adaptation of natural language technologies for industrial applications
-advanced industrial applications based on cross-lingual applications, including machine
-translation, information retrieval, extraction and summarization, document indexing, natural language search engines, etc.
-technologies for chaining NLP components
-success stories of NLP-based industrial applications
The Workshop on "Language Resources and Tools in Industrial Applications" will be held jointly with EUROLAN 2011. The papers will be presented in oral sessions, for 1.5 hours each, in two consecutive days, during the EUROLAN 2011 summer school.

Submissions will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, relevance to the school topics, and interest to the attendees. We also accept papers describing a challenge in the field, position papers, survey papers, and papers that describe a negative result.
